Heavy Equipment/ farm Laborer

We are seeking a farm laborer/ heavy Equipment Operator to become a part of our farm You will operate a truck to transport materials. May have to use our grapple or excavator to load truck. Part time use of tractor. Fencing fields for livestock part of the time. Firewood processing and delivery is part of the job. Basic maintenance of equipment will be needed. A full variety of farm work is involved.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate grapple truck, mini excavator, tractors and other equipment
- Prefer CDL
- Load and unload cargo mostly using equipment, and deliver to customers.
- Inspect trucks and all equipment before and after use
- Communicate need for maintenance or repair
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Various farm/equipment activities changing from time to time.
- Willingness to adapt to change.
- Have initiative for problem solving
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in farm labor, truck driving, loading and unloading
- experience with chainsaw and maintenance of farm equipment
- Heavy equipment skills
- Light carpentry skills
- Strong work ethic, timeliness.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Pay rate according to experience and performance
- Must pass a background check
- No smoking, no alcohol consumption, no recreational drugs
Benefits: Housing provided; vehicle provided for 2 days a week

this employment is intended to be a full time seasonal job for the first year
