Mechanical Assembler - Skilled

 

WORKING HOURS: MONDAY - THURSDAY, 6AM - 4:30PM

OT DEPENDING ON WORK LOAD

MECHANICAL WORK HISTORY - INDUSTRIAL OR AGRICULTURAL PREFERRED

ABILITY TO WORK ALONE WITH LITTLE OVERSIGHT

PNEUMATICS, HYDRAULICS AND ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE A MUST HAVE

 

CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN HAND/POWER TOOLS

JOB SUMMARY:

Assemble parts, and position, align, and fasten units to assembles, sub-assemblies, or units by using a variety of tools and equipment.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine component parts and assembly sequence.

- Operate equipment or use hand tools to position, align, and adjust parts for proper fits and assembly.

- Test assembled part to ensure functionality.

- Identify and report any faulty components or hazardous conditions during the assembly process.

- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs and corrections to meet specifications.

- Ensure all work performed is in a quality-minded, tidy & accurate manner.

- Prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.

- Adhere to all Company policies

- Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

- Attend work per work schedule.

- Possess all tools required for the position within 90 days of employment.

- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma or GED

- 0-5+ years of related experience or demonstrated competency in a related field

- Basic reading, writing, and math skills (required)

- Familiarity with standard power and hand tools

- Manufacturing or experience working with large equipment (preferred)

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to lift to 50lbs

- Must be able to operate a forklift and crane

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

- Must be able to work to work under limited supervision

- Must possess good communication skills

- Ability to work with

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

- Strong mechanical aptitude

- Ability to interpret technical documents to properly manufacture the final product.
