Pavilion Med Transportation, a non-emergency medical transportation service in Northern VA, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Drivers. We are seeking full-time and part time non-emergency medical transportation drivers who are compassionate, caring, reliable, and responsible. As a transporter, you will play a vital role in assisting clients by providing safe and reliable transportation to medical facilities, areas of residence, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pick up clients to and from places of residence, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or medical facilities, providing necessary assistance to safely board clients and caregivers, including lifting clients on a stretcher (which may involve stairs).
- Transport clients to hospitals and authorized clinics, ensuring proper security of stretchers and passengers before transportation.
- Assist clients upon arrival at medical facilities, ensuring they reach the proper offices or treatment areas.
- Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations
- Check and maintain vehicle cleanliness, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Follow company safety and operational policies and procedures, including the use of mobile devices, software, and GPS units.
- Follow safety protocols during loading and unloading, communicating transport details effectively with dispatch.
- Maintain a friendly and courteous attitude while transporting clients.
- Other functions may be assigned as necessary.
- Report to work on time and in the provided uniform.
Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Safely operate a stretcher-equipped transportation vehicle.
- Maintain strong attendance, reliability, and remain calm in emergencies.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work, capable of driving in inclement weather.
- Flexibility for on-call rotations after hours, holidays, and weekends if needed.
- Good driving record with no more than a (-)2.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Possess a clean driving record in VA and provide a 5-year certified driving record.
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and NOT been suspended
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Physical Requirements Include the Ability to:
- Sit for extended periods, lift, push, pull, and carry tools or equipment above shoulder level without assistance.
- Move up and down stairs easily, and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.08 - $21.57 per hour
