Position Overview:

The Manager is responsible for the management of a growing janitorial business including operations, customer relations, and vendor relations. This position promotes collaboration among the managers and supervisors to provide and improve innovative customer solutions and superior customer service. This position provides vision and leadership toward obtaining overall company goals though the measurement of key performance indicators.

Organization’s scope:

Primary focus will be to service the existing business, operationally, and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible. This position will set goals, develop processes, and direct ongoing operations.

Job description:

· Develop operational goals which are aggressive yet attainable and tied closely to the long-term goals of the company.

· Possess deep knowledge of the operation at each site (contract, scope of work, building type, client specifications and local market conditions.)

· Consistently travel to and visit each site to participate in frequent, regular meetings with the client.

· Ensure each site is conducting formal, quality checks and inspections according to plan.

· Actively manage customer satisfaction through analysis of customer feedback, scrutiny of performance metrics, and improvement of customer service systems and processes.

· Oversees hiring, training, and evaluating employees. Participates with HR/Recruiting to obtain qualified personnel for open and potential open positions. Interviews management candidates and is active in the selection process

· Support the sales organization to insure the continued profitability of the organization.

· Exceptional team leadership skills to effectively coach, motivate, and empower team members. Coach, mentor, manage and supervise to promote professional growth.

· The ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with both internal and external customers

· Nurture the collaborative environment by promoting transparency and communicating positively and effectively.

· Collaborates with the Executive team to develop, recommend, and implement strategies to optimize revenue and capture additional markets.

· Manage emergency response for all problems.

· Effectively address all client related communications in real time with a sense of urgency (emails, phone calls, requests) Responds to all requests from clients/customers with a can-do attitude.

· Excellent project and program management skills.

· Oversees and directs the startup of new business and ensures it complies with MHI’s policies, procedures, programs, and contractual agreements.

· Work directly with client and internal teams to ensure billing and collections are processed in a timely manner.

· Make sure all direct reports have clear job assignments, roles, and responsibilities.

· Review financial performance regularly to forecast spend and course correct when necessary.

· Ensure that all sites are properly documenting employee onboarding, badging, safety, job training and performance management issues.

· Up-sell additional services and tag jobs above and beyond contractual agreements.

· Partner with local and national 3rd party vendors and suppliers for onsite material, supplies and equipment (ordering, pricing, repair, testing out new products.)

· Ensures existing accounts within areas of responsibility are following MHI’s policies, procedures, programs, and contractual Agreements

· Creates, distributes, and maintains all necessary reports and documentation concerning the regional activities. Submits reports consistently accurate and on time.

· Requires the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with accomplishing objectives without supervision.

· Ensures that client’s needs are always met.

· Maintains a high-level of communication with all relative departments and individuals.

· Participates in scheduled department meetings.

· Always maintains a professional appearance.

· Job duties may be modified at any time.

Qualifications:

Customer service experience

Bilingual is required.

Successful experience leading a team of management and supervisory level direct reports.

Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.

Sales experience a plus.
