Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of 30+ production line workers, promoting teamwork, safety, and adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Operations Management: Oversee multiple automated packaging and processing lines, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean and six-sigma principles to implement continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze production runs and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Staff Development: Conduct performance appraisals, provide coaching, administer corrective actions, and train staff.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address issues related to quality, safety, downtime, and production problems.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education & Experience: BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent of 5+ years in baking leadership. Must have 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience in baking.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma, or other continuous improvement tools. Military veterans are a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to think creatively and solve problems using root cause analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency in spreadsheet and word applications. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
