Job DescriptionJob Description

The Warranty Specialist will primarily operate within an office setting, providing technical advisory and support services related to warranty claims and inquiries from our Lakeland, FL branch. While the majority of tasks will be office-based, occasional fieldwork may be required on an as-needed basis, estimated at an 80% office and 20% fieldwork ratio. In-depth product knowledge, particularly in flooring is required. Product knowledge in cabinets and countertops is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves liaising with builders, subcontractors, vendors and homeowners to address warranty-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in flooring products, with additional training provided for cabinets and countertops.
  2. Warranty Services: Serve as a primary point of contact for warranty claims as working with the warranty coordinator. Providing technical advice and support to the warranty coordinator, builders, subcontractors, and homeowners.
  3. Problem Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve warranty-related issues efficiently and effectively.
  4. Building Quotes: Generating quotes for warranty-related services and products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  5. Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and effectively with builders, subcontractors, and homeowners, both in English and Spanish (Spanish proficiency preferred).
  6. Field Work (As Needed): Undertake fieldwork tasks on an as-needed basis, including site visits to assess warranty issues.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, resolutions, and customer interactions.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements within the warranty service department, contributing to enhanced efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (Spanish proficiency preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of flooring products; experience with cabinets and countertops is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
  • Prior experience in a warranty service or technical advisory role is desirable.
