Pride Health is hiring for a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Fort Worth, TX This is a 3 month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all duties within a Medical Assistant’s scope of practice
  • Organizes the clinical environment and provides support in patient care situations to assist physicians, APC’s and nurses
  • Perform patient-oriented procedures and medication administration under MA scope of practice
  • Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs.
  • Performs quality control checks on equipment. Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave.

Education/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA/RMA) Required
  • BLS certification upon hire.
  • Basic computer literacy with Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay Range: $17 to $23/hr

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
