Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager/Director to join our team. The position will be responsible for overseeing business and individual tax returns while communicating directly with the clients and overseeing staff. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as strong analytical and leadership skills. We encourage CPAs, EAs and CTECs to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of business and individual tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide guidance.
  • Coordinate with management and staff as needed.
  • Review tax returns.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • CPA preferred, at least EA or CTEC required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex tax issues.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience leading and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and staff.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Se Habla Espanol- the majority of our staff speaks Spanish and English.
