Newell Corporation is currently looking to add a manual machinist to our team. Newell Corp. offers a wide variety of welding/fabricating/machining & assembly services at our facility located in Arlington, WA. Our manual machinists are responsible for setting up and operating manual mills/lathes to manufacture a wide variety of components accurately and efficiently. Applicants outside of the local area are encouraged to apply as relocation expense reimbursement may be available for the right applicant.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

-Familiarity with setting up and operating small/large horizontal lathes.

-Familiarity with setting up and operating knee mills.

-Experience selecting and monitoring cutting tools and holders for machining operations.

-Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.

-Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gages and calipers to inspect components during setup and in process.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

-Familiarity with setting up and operating horizonal boring mills.

-Familiarity with setting up and operating large vertical turning lathes.

-Familiarity with GD&T and related measuring practices/calculations.
