Thermal Solutions Products is an industry-leading manufacturer of hydronic products including high efficiency condensing boilers, near condensing boilers and hot water heaters. We believe your specific job requirements should drive product selection.

We are looking for a Plant Manager to join our team This position will lead the operations function of the organization to manufacture and ship company products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and have strong leadership skills. The candidate should have extensive experience in the areas of safety, production, and quality.

This is a full-time position located in Lancaster, PA. Day shift Monday-Friday. Hours of work required to accomplish responsibilities may include non-standard work hours including weekend hours as determined by business demands.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the execution and regular operations of assembly plant, parts producing plant and shipping warehouse facilities to satisfy safety, quality, delivery, and value objectives of the operation.
  • Develop department plans and implement control measures to meet operational objectives per the business plan and/or by business leadership.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement measures to continuously improve workplace safety, product quality, production methods, equipment performance, and workforce productivity.
  • Lead effective problem resolution plans using logical root-cause analysis techniques to establish corrective action plans to operational challenges.
  • Develop, propose, and execute departmental expense budgets that ensure cost control and maximize profits.
  • Develop, propose, and execute capital budgets that ensure favorable investments and the prudent use of company resources.
  • Coordinate operational projects with maintenance, material planning, engineering, quality, and human resources groups to obtain desired results.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing and shipping procedures to ensure consistent execution of operational tasks.
  • Participate in meetings/hearings as required to resolve or effect settlement of grievance matters.
  • Ensure operational conformance to shop rules/regulations and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Inspire and motivate operational staff to perform at their best and contribute at their full capabilities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead plant managers and supervisors and the direct labor force.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of this unit.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Performance appraisals
  • Reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior leadership experience

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
