DEFINITION

As per the general direction, this role involves planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating major programs within Adolescent Growth, Inc. The job holder will be responsible for acting as a liaison between assigned program areas, and division management and will assist the Director and Sr. Behavioral Health Managers in the overall administration of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services at our Illinois location. In addition, they will supervise the work of professional, technical, and clerical staff while also performing other assigned duties.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Ability to:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the work of a multidisciplinary professional staff providing mental health and/or substance abuse treatment, including case management services.
  • Direct and coordinate mental health and/or substance abuse clinical activities.
  • Prepare and present various periodic and special reports of both a Professional and administrative nature.
  • Identify the need for and develop proposed changes in current program practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and develop specialized programs or grant or contract requests.
  • Provide professional consultation and program leadership techniques, methods, and procedures of program area and administrative functions.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, expressing complex and technical terminology and concepts understandably.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with others.
  • Apply a reasonable degree of physical exertion to control client behavior in emergencies.

Training and Experience:

Qualifications for this position can be obtained through a combination of training and experience. To be considered, a minimum of three years of licensed or certified professional experience is required in a multidisciplinary mental health and/or substance abuse program. The experience should include administrative management and/or clinical supervision that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities.

AND

Completion of academic coursework and training as defined below:

  1. Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work;
  2. Master's degree in Psychology or a related field from an accredited school.
  3. Licensed: LCSW or LCPC at least 2 years
