Medical Device Manufacturer, North Jersey location, seeks Electrical/Mechanical Technician. Duties include repairing, testing and calibrating laboratory and medical devices used to collect and process blood and cellular products. Knowledge of and previous experience working with small medical devices that are regulated by the FDA, as well as, and understanding quality control procedures would be helpful. Prior work experience in hospital setting or with customer support preferred. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret technical literature, schematics and technical drawings as well as communicate verbally and in writing with customers, quality control and other biomed techs by providing detailed information about the devices either by phone or email. BS or AS degree, relevant experience in electronics, mechanical instrumentation or medical devices is imperative. Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft programs is required. Must be detail oriented and have good organizational and time management skills. Competitive salary and health benefits package including 401(k).
