Job Title: Dietitian - Dietary Services

Location: Mission Hills, CA (onsite)

Pay rate: $ 38-48 an hour

Contract Duration: 8 weeks (possibility of being permanent/extension)

Working hours: Day 5x8-Hour 08 am - 4:30 pm

 

Summary

Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, Clinical Nutrition or Operations Leader, under the clinical direction of the Professional Practice Leader prescribes, implements, evaluates, and documents the appropriate patient/resident nutritional care plan in accordance with professional standards and within the Mission, Vision, Values and strategic direction of Providence Health Care.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition from a recognized University.
  • Completion of a dietetic internship from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC).
  • May be required to perform Restricted Activities A, B, &/or C as listed on the posting.
  • Parenteral duties associated with Restricted Activity B coded up to Grade 2 per Operating Instructions.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills with patients/residents, families, staff, physicians, and healthcare providers.
  • Understanding of healthcare legislation and government policies.
  • Proficiency in conducting patient/resident assessments.
  • Knowledge of various healthcare disciplines and their roles in patient/resident care.
  • Ability to gather relevant information beyond initial concerns.
  • Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Participation in research activities.
  • Capability to provide guidance to students.
  • Development and delivery of in-services and presentations.
