Commercial Construction QA/QC for Federal Projects

Job Summary
Currently seeking a QA/QC with a background working on federal projects. Successful candidate must have CQM and experience with USACE projects on Federal installations.
Position Details:
- Provide Safety direction and also work in the dual role as the QC for federal projects.
- Review all contracts, drawings and specifications and develop on-site plans and procedures for implementation.
- Interface with client representatives, representatives, other contractors, inspectors, etc.
- Conduct safety meetings and responsible for overall site safety.
- Work with operations or project manager to assure work is consistent with estimates, procedures, dimensional control, equipment and manpower; keep them properly updated on progress schedules; and schedule delivery of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate, direct and monitor activities of subcontractors, suppliers and company labor.
- Ensure all necessary permits and other temporary facilities are in place before construction begins.
- Work as the QC to ensure that the proper meetings are conducted, documented, and paperwork submitted.
- Develop on site relationship with the project Construction Manager.
- Nurture rapport with customers, but maintain reputation for being tough on schedule, reasonable, and fair.
Requirements:
- Must have 5 yrs of construction experience
- CQM
- Prefer experience on Government bases
