Position Type:Full-Time On-Site

Salary: $26.22 - $31.46 per hour

Work Schedule:Flexible Schedule; Monday-Friday

  • (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm)
  • No weekends or holiday

Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify as necessary individual specific diet plans
  • Create menus for DDI personnel to follow
  • Participates as appropriate in training of DDI personnel on menus, diet plans, and modified diets
  • Ensure compliance with OPWD regulatory standard
  • Liaison with facility nurse regarding nutrition issues
  • Routine observations on at least a quarterly basis of mealtimes for individuals with modified diets to ensure staff competency of meal preparation and diet appropriateness.
  • Ensure standards for sanitation, safety and security in food preparation and service

Qualifications:

  • N.Y. State Registered Dietician's License required
  • N.Y. State Driver's License
  • Knowledge of OPEDD regulations preferred - Experience with MR/DD preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and critical thinking skills.
