Electrical Controls Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements
- Research supplier products for assembly components
- Help establish new and maintain existing standards
- Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications
- Check the quality of assembler's and technician's work and respond to inquiries during assembly
- Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, and networking, and create specifications based on these requirements
- Help Train/Orient/Bring Up to Speed new employees
- Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments
- Quality – Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process-driven environment
Education and Experience
- BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with conveyors in the automation industry
- Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
