Volunteer Firefighter

Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Firefighters. As a Greensburg Engine Company 7 Volunteer Firefighter, you will play a crucial role in protecting and serving our community & beyond. This is a non-paid position that requires a commitment to training and responding to emergency situations.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed

- Complete 160 hours of training within the first year
- Perform firefighting duties, including operating firefighting equipment and extinguishing fires
- Conduct search and rescue operations
- Provide basic life support and administer first aid as necessary
- Assist with hazardous materials incidents
- Participate in ongoing training and drills to maintain skills and knowledge
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Assist with community outreach programs and fire prevention activities

All training is provided by the department at no cost to you.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass an NFPA Regulated Physical
- Willingness to train and put the dedication in to better yourself and your station
