Direct Installer (Charlotte) - $19.27/hr

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Direct Installer to travel to pre-scheduled appointments and install energy-efficient equipment and products in residential and small commercial properties. This role includes introducing and explaining incentive programs to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Travel to pre-scheduled appointments to install energy-efficient equipment and products.
- Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of our organization.
- Ensure customer specifications and company quality standards are met.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Keep all required paperwork, records, and documents up to date.
- Understand the strategic direction of energy efficiency programs.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules.
- Install products such as aerators, showerheads, and compact fluorescent lights.
- Assist with blower door and combustion safety tests if required.
- Apply insulating or sealing materials to various building areas.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operations.
- Occasionally travel on weekends for customer needs.
- Conduct inventory counts and submit reports.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse locations and fleet vehicle areas.
- Ensure fleet vehicles are clean, orderly, and equipped with safety products.
- Perform routine vehicle safety inspections and submit reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in basic wiring, lighting, , troubleshooting, or related technologies.
- 1-2 years of customer service/ experience required.
- Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
- Preferred experience in installing technologies, manual labor, and using tools.
- Preferred background in building science, design, envelope, weatherization, building maintenance, home inspection, , lighting, controls, or renewable energy.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong data entry skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication with customers, clients, and employees.
- Ability to analyze data and solve practical problems.
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Committed to diversity and inclusion.
- Reliable transportation required.

This position offers a pay rate of $19.27 per hour.
