We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the hospitality industry to join our team as Assistant General Manager. This person will work closely with the General Manager and front of house staff to continue the success of our business with opportunities for promotion and growth within the company. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Learning and following our company policies and procedures and gaining a strong knowledge of our products

- Creating a positive and encouraging environment for all staff and guests

- Directly supervising our small front of house staff during day to day operations, leading by example and ensuring that all service standards are being met and all daily tasks are completed

- Writing weekly front of house staff schedules that fit the needs of service as well as labor budgets

- Interviewing and hiring front of house staff as needed

- Working with key staff in creating and following a complete training program for new hires and ongoing training for current staff

- Assisting our General Manager with promotional and marketing ideas to build sales and retain staff

Requirements include (but are not limited to):

- Some experience in a Manager or Supervisor role - must have some understanding of labor and cost control, and basic money handling

- Must have some experience and understanding in all FOH areas of the restaurant

- Hospitality POS training (preferably Toast) - Back Office programming is a plus

- Full time availability (this position is primarily dinner and closing shifts) - our managers are expected to work 40-45 hours per week on average.  Closed Sundays & Mondays.  Latest closing time is 10pm

- Some experience in fine dining in either a management or service role

- Italian wine and/or Amaro knowledge - this is a big part of our sales and culture. Our AGM will be expected to learn the products we carry.
