Job Title            : Sr. Scientist

Location            : Des Plaines IL 60018 USA

Duration           : 06 Months Contract (With Possible Extension)

Shift                   : Mon – Fri 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM

 

Job requirements:

Working w/ Medical Technology and Software background. Must be very familiar with all Cell Dyn systems to set up the systems, collect data and analyze the collected data. Must also be familiar with blood cell morphology to be able to collect reference data. Must be able to conduct experiments with minimum supervision to develop CDX Cal/Con. Must be able to analyze RBC Morphology data using the 3D surface analysis software program (software knowledge in addition to medical technology and Cell Dyn systems knowledge required). Must have a good understanding in clinical applications of Cell Dyn methods.

 

Responsibility:

In this role, a scientist will:

• Design/draft verification protocols/records for sensitivity, precision and linearity for molecular based assays.

• Develop DOE for studies to support testing of commodities on the Alinity m platform.

• Have a strong analytical background and can recommend analytical studies to investigation commodity related issues.

• Mine large datasets to identify trends or anomalies, then dive deep to get to a mechanistic root cause.

• Manage the day-to-day activities of two scientists The candidate must have:.

• An MS in Biochemistry, biology, physics, or chemistry (Ph.D. is preferred)

• A good understanding of molecular biology (especially PCR)

• Experience with molecular assay testing

• Strong mathematical intuition

• Excellent investigative data analysis skills Ideally, the candidate would have hands-on experience with:

• JMP or statistical software • PowerBI
