Welder Fabricator

Employers Expectation:

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together structures and parts with precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

The welder must be competent in using various pieces of equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand, attention to detail and critical thinking. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Minimum of 1 year construction experience required.

Job Description

· Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout

· Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

· Operate grinders, saws ect. to prepare parts for welding

· Align components using calipers, rulers, clamps ect.

· Weld components using manual welding equipment in various positions

· Repair material by welding pieces and filling gaps

· Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

· Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

· Knowledge of relative safety standards and use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Fabrication is done mostly in shop, with installation at various work sites. Experience and knowledge in construction is imperative.
