We are seeking a reliable and skilled Car Transporter to join our team. As a Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting Vehicles to their designated locations. This position requires excellent driving skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
Duties:
- Safely transport Vehicles to assigned destinations
- Follow assigned routes and adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment, manual labor
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Ensure that all transportation activities comply with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in Car hauling or commercial vehicle operation is preferred
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation is required
- Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as, tankers, or tractor-trailers is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of loading/unloading vehicles and long hours of driving
