We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is critical to our operations, as it involves the setup and operation of CNC and conventional machines to produce high precision metallic and non-metallic parts for various industries. If you are detail-oriented, proficient in reading technical drawings, and experienced with CNC machinery, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to understand the machining requirements and specifications.
  • Program, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines using CAM software and manual data input.
  • Measure and set reference points and dimensions on materials, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
  • Select and secure appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
  • Calculate and set controls on machines for optimal speed, feed, coolant flow, and machining path.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect any discrepancies or malfunctions and adjust as necessary to prevent accidents and ensure high-quality output.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Conduct trial runs of machines to confirm settings and programmed control data are correct to prevent any operational or material errors.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree or completion of an apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology, or a certified apprenticeship program.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment within a manufacturing setting.
  • Experienced in both conventional and CNC machine setup and operation.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments and quality control practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
