Family Smiles dental clinic in Burnsville, MN is looking for an outgoing Dental Care Coordinator who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced and positive environment. We have an excellent team at Family Smiles and we’re looking to grow

The Full Time schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30 minute daily lunch break.

Highly qualified applicants will have expertise in dental or medical scheduling, front desk or customer experience, interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using Fuse practice management software
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
- Provide administrative support to the dental team by following up with patient care including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence

Required Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is desired
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional manner

In Minnesota, Dr. Llaque served as Adjunct Faculty in the Prosthodontics program as well as Assistant Director in Restorative Expanded Functions at the University of Minnesota in years 2019 to 2022.
