POSITION: ADULT DAY TRAINING DIRECT SUPPORT -Supervisor STATUS: Regular, Full-Time

HOURS OF OPERATION: 8:00AM-4:00PM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate Degree and two-year experience in a related field. Related experience will substitute a year for year basis for required college education. Ability to supervise staff and train clients and coordinate projects. Possesses a valid Florida driver's license, be able to pass a drug screen, and background check. Self-starter, highly motivated. Good reading and writing skills. Strong desire to work with adult citizens with developmental disabilities. Capable of operating independently and following directions. Can work flexible hours when needed. First aide/CPR and aids/contagious disease certifications preferred but will train.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for working directly with clients in a community based setting. Assures quality control of assigned projects. Creates a challenging environment based on individual needs. Supervises assigned Adult Day training site and staff. Works closely with ADT Manager to ensure compliance, reporting, and employee relations are in order.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)

1. Responsible for implementing all daily program requirements including assigning staff (service aides) and the scheduling of all activities.

2. Ensures compliance with all contract requirements including preparing documentation.

3. Coordinates therapeutic work-like projects.

4. Participates in goal setting for clients as required. Follows projected client goals and documents it.

5. Trains clients in assigned areas.

6. Properly supervise clients ensuring safety. Does not allow consumers to leave within a sight and/or sound unless specifically planned with supervisor.

7. Anticipates and solves problems.

8. Ensures proper orientation for each clients.

9. Motivates clients in a positive manner. Treats clients in dignified, normal manner.

10. Provides physical assistance to clients as needed.

11. Transports consumers in agency vehicles, as required.

12. Maintains high standards of conduct in relation to clients. Reports suspected abuse or neglect.

13. Submits required reports, including but not limited to transportation logs, timecard reconciliation, compliance in a timely manner.

14. Sets an example of personal hygiene and dress. Assists client with personal needs as required. Reviews client dress and hygiene daily and assists where needed.

15. Responsible for cleaning, care and daily upkeep of assigned equipment, grounds and vehicles.

16. Maintains proper inventory of needed supplies. Provides security for it.

17. Maintains high levels of cleanliness in assigned areas.

18. Communicates problems to manager.

19. Supervises and assists other staff as needed.

20. Responsible for ensuring all health and safety drills are conducted as required.

21. Communicate with families and guardians to ensure their involvement and knowledge of services. Work closely with volunteers and various members of staff.

22. Performs other duties as required.
