Site Superintendent

Drive Construction, Inc., located in Bridgeview, IL, is recruiting for a Site Superintendent to oversee operations at our construction sites in the Quad Cities. Candidate must be a leader with strong interpersonal and management skills, with demonstrated experience on-site managing commercial construction projects.

COMPETENCIES & ABILITIES:

· Strong working knowledge of the commercial construction process

· Proficiency with drawings, specifications, contract scopes, safety programs, and scheduling

· Ability to be proactive in managing a project schedule, sequencing trades, and implementation of a construction project

· Prepare 3 Week Look Ahead Schedules

· Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure all work is constructed according to all submittals, plans, specifications, and subcontracts

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to interface with all levels of employees, subcontractors and clients.

· Ability to manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned project activities (including optimize efficiency of labor, materials, supplies, equipment and tools) within budget guidelines

· Understand and ensure that safety requirements are strictly adhered to and enforced

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to proactively anticipate, recognize and resolve problems

· Punctuality and good attendance required

· Computer proficiency with knowledge of MS Office

· Maintain Red-lines and all required reporting, documentation, etc.

· Participate in meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience

· OSHA Safety training

· Construction Management / Architecture or Engineering Degree a plus
