This is a remote, full-time leadership opportunity working for EM:RAP, a company dedicated to advancing medical education through innovative programs, cutting-edge technologies, and a commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow and make a significant impact in the healthcare education sector, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all technology-related initiatives within the company, managing the technology budget, and serving as the primary liaison with our external technology partner. The Technology Manager will work closely with the COO and CEO to align technology strategies with business goals and drive the successful execution of technology projects.

Qualifications:

  • Vision and Strategy: The ideal candidate is a technology visionary and strategist with proven experience bridging the gap between technology and business. Previous experience in developing a strategic technological vision for a company, working collaboratively to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Candidates should have a proven track record of spearheading significant digital transformations.
  • Engineering Background: Candidates with prior experience as engineers will be given preference. We are seeking a strategic leader who possesses experience as a software engineer and has a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies essential for continuous development and innovation.
  • Proven Cross-functional Collaboration: The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background and a track record of successful collaboration across various internal and external teams and partners. This includes a proven track record of establishing strong partnerships with executive leadership teams and liaising with existing partnerships.
  • Technical Project Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects from inception through implementation.
  • Business Acumen: The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and experience effectively managing technology budgets.
  • Project Management: Candidates should have proven project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects within specific timeframes, and effectively engaging and empowering stakeholders for project completion.
  • Education/Training: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Ideally, candidates will have 6+ years of progressive IT and/or product experience as well as a strong background with a demonstrated history of leading progressive technology initiatives and shaping strategic technology direction across an organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Budget Management: Develop, manage, and optimize the technology budget to ensure cost-effective use of resources while supporting the company’s strategic objectives
  • Liaison with Engineering/Technology Partner: Act as the main point of contact with our external technology partner, silverorange, to ensure seamless collaboration and successful delivery of technology solutions.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the COO and CEO to define and prioritize technology initiatives that support the company’s growth and operational efficiency
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the best quality services and products are procured.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring the security and reliability of the company’s technology infrastructure.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of technology initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
  • Initiatives: Develop proactive strategies to drive our technology and product initiatives this includes a deep audit to assess current IT infrastructure, identify gaps, and establish a clear technology roadmap for the next 12+ months. This may also include successfully incorporating AI solutions across business functions, including data management, digital asset management, content creation, and client experience improvements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Play a pivotal role in our leadership team, facilitating communication and collaboration between technology and other teams, ensuring seamless processes are established.
