HR Recruiter

Our client, a major utility company, has a need for some contract Recruiters to work with their HR Team in Detroit, MI.
This is a long-term contract position (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate) with a pay rate of $34.00 hourly. (benefits available)
Our client is a publicly traded company dedicated to building a high-performing talent acquisition team passionate about finding, attracting, and engaging top diverse talent for critical operations and engineering roles. As a contract Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will collaborate closely with leaders who expect exceptional customer service, thought leadership, and expertise in the latest recruitment trends, technology, and social recruiting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source diverse candidates for challenging engineering, IT, strategy, and corporate positions.
- Assess candidates based on departmental hiring needs.
- Participate in recruitment events such as virtual job fairs and career days.
- Communicate the company’s employment brand and total rewards system to prospective candidates.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities, including process changes and system configuration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other HR teams, including HRIS, Benefits, and Consulting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional experience in human resources. Preferred candidates will have recruiting experience in a corporate or RPO environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team/project-oriented recruiting activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively to coordinate tasks and achieve goals.
- Proven ability to adapt to various human resource issues with successful outcomes and openness to new ideas and approaches.
- Understanding and appreciation of the importance of a diverse work environment and experience in initiatives for recruiting diverse candidates.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Applicant Tracking software (e.g., Taleo, SuccessFactors, ICIMS), and Internet recruiting techniques.
- Ability to act independently and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Adherence to corporate processes, procedures, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
