Master Scheduler

Summary: The Master Scheduler is responsible for managing, establishing, reviewing, and maintaining a master schedule. This role involves identifying and implementing system and process improvements within the supply chain to support overall strategic goals. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels, with a focus on Inventory & Capacity Planning (SIOP), are essential. The Master Scheduler will also drive and promote positive communication throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve forecasting tools and procedures with innovative ideas and projects.
  • Develop existing forecast and supply programs to optimize inventory and cash cycle.
  • Collaborate with area owners, managers, and engineers to create schedules in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Review and update forecasts, production schedules, and material requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate materials requirements for new product introductions, including reviewing BOMs and cut-in dates.
  • Address material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels, working with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to meet customer needs.
  • Become a subject matter expert in systems and scheduling tools.
  • Proactively review material supply and demand to determine appropriate push/pull actions affecting manufacturing and supply exception messages.
  • Merge multiple projects to create a master schedule, including resource and test equipment allocations.

Required:

  • High School Diploma; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management, or Master Scheduling.
  • Experience in a defense or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
