Medical Receptionist

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Since this person will be the first point of contact for our business, the ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and an eagerness to assist customers.
You will be responsible for providing efficient, effective, quality customer service through a variety of duties including, but not limited to, patient check-in, registration, scheduling, outbound calling and processing payments. Complies with established company policies and procedures, HIPAA Privacy Rules and Our Health and Care Confidentiality Policy. Ensuring clear and timely communication including patient appointment status to doctors.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Sets the tone for a positive experience
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Maintain electronic medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Verify insurance information and process payments
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the medical team
-Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, and sincerity.
-Answers multiple lines to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
-Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
-Monitor schedules daily, ensuring that each appointment type has been blocked off with the appropriate time requirements.
-Pull patient charts for the following day and organize by patient order and doctor.
-Provides vision and planning to reach goals. Addresses concerns in forthright manner and welcomes innovation and new approaches to reach new heights in service and quality.
-Demonstrates excellence in customer service and satisfaction levels for internal and external customers.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical or Chiropractic setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple phone lines effectively
Qualifications
Highschool diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year Experience in Customer Service or Health Care with patient/client facing experience. Receptionist experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Professional appearance and demeanor
Must be punctual to the office
