Pay for this position is based on work experience.

As a Quality Inspector, you are responsible for inspecting cabinets and components for correct assembly, quality finish, and other quality defects, in accordance with plant quality standards and customer requirements. You will be a critical team member ensuring that our products are built and shipped complete, correct, and on-time – meeting our unwavering commitment to quality.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect products to ensure that all acceptance criteria are met using customer drawings, prints, specifications, etc.
  • Use basic measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify that finished product dimensions are within specified tolerance.
  • Perform minor cleaning, touchups, and repairs prior to approval to ship.
  • Maintain and document inspection results and records.
  • Track and record non-conforming material, rework, trends in defects, etc.
  • Work closely with QC Techs, QC Lead, and Quality Engineer to address quality issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.

 

Non-Essential Functions / Other Duties:

  • Contribute to team effort by working together to accomplish goals.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in product inspection and working with quality standards is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems required.
  • Strong Attention to details.
  • Knowledge of stains, paints, and wood species is preferred.
