Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll lead the charge on our accounting team. As the Senior Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company's success by overseeing cash, reconciliations, and month-end close process. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Own assigned duties for the month-end close of the general ledger, including cash, revenue margins, people costs, and overhead postings.
  • Assist in streamlining the month-end process; development of journal entry checklist, closing checklists, procedures, and supporting schedules.
  • Responsible for ensuring balance sheets are up-to-date and variances are investigated and cleared promptly.
  • Act as liaison with internal managers in providing them with research information.
  • Contributing to developing new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
  • Assist the Finance team in various other ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Provide guidance to accounting staff through leadership and training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge GAAP.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Terms of Employment:

  • Hours: Full–Time Employment. 40+ hours per week
  • Pay rate: Annual Salary, Depending on Experience + Annual Bonus, Depending on Company and Individual Performance.
  • Office: Work is virtual
