Front of House functions include but are not limited to: 

  • Warmly welcoming each guest personally and in a timely manner
  • Delivering exceptional, personalized service to every guest, guiding them through the menu while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, recipes, and ingredients
  • Taking accurate orders, entering them into the POS system, and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations
  • Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of resulting in return business
  • taking orders for dine in and to go
  • Being mindful of kitchen and restaurant flow
  • running food
  • Clearing and resetting tables
  • Maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and equipment; performing opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Reporting to work in neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 16 years of age upon hire date
  • Availability to work evenings and weekend shifts
  • Must excel in communication, conflict resolution and promotional sales abilities with restaurant guests and be professional, friendly, positive, punctual, teamwork oriented, energetic, organized, thorough and teachable
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • The ability to stand on your feet for 6+ hours
  • The ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
  • The ability to lift 35+ pounds
  • Must adhere to training of all policies, manuals and procedures put in place by Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen
  • Restaurant experience: 1 year (preferred but not required)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Ability to comply with health department regulations
  • Ability to take direction from management
  • Must have a source of reliable transportation
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must interact with guest in a warm and welcoming manner and be aware and attentive to their needs

Job type:

  • Full or part time

Pay:

  • $10.00-14.00 per hour plus tips (negotiable depending on position and responsibilities)

Physical Setting:

  • Upscale fast casual dining
  • Warm and welcoming atmosphere

Schedule:

  • 4-10 hour shifts available (shorter shifts available as well)
  • Evening shift
  • Every weekend
  • Wednesday through Saturday
  • Friday and Saturday evening availability

We have seafood brought in three times a week from a specialty meat company, spices, coffee and bread shipped in from New Orleans, and stone ground grits shipped in from the low country because we are dedicated to providing only the freshest, high quality ingredients for our customers.
