FGS Facilities Group is a large professional services business keeping facilities clean, repaired, and well maintained far and wide in the SF Bay Area. We have a good reputation for being a one stop shop providing variety of services in the janitorial and facilities maintenance field.

We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated, and reliable people to join our team

As a Janitor, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the facility and responding to client request in the facility’s continuing effort to be an outstanding workspace for their employees.

The nature of this work requires emphasis on safe work practices, sustained physical effort, trouble shooting, problem solving, attention to detail, customer service, and time management.

Examples of Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for maintaining a clean, order free, and safe environment; including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, utility rooms, common areas and meeting/conference rooms.

· Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash.

· Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.

· Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: furniture moves, etc.), as needed.

· Check supplies and inventory.

· Assures walkways are clean and clear of hazards; ensuring the entire facility is kept in a safe, well-maintained manner.

· Sanitizes and disinfects according to standard of procedures.

· Accomplishes all work in the order of priority.

· Assisting other facilities maintenance members if needed.

· Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

· High school education or equivalent. Technical and or vocational school training and/or certification is accepted as well.

· Able to understand and follow instructions.

· Able to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors to the facility.

Job Requirements

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours straight and be able to do the following: bend and twist, lift, stand, kneel, sit, walk, and stoop regularly.

· Able to lift 50lbs with regularity.

· Able to work independently.
