Construction Superintendent

Gardner/Fox is looking for experienced Construction Superintendents. Superintendents are responsible for performing the daily scheduling, implementing on-site construction, and overseeing job site safety.

Qualifications:

• Proficient with MS suite of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
• Excellent communication abilities, including writing email, speaking and active listening.
• Good planning skills.
• Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal construction regulations.
• Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective leadership abilities, motivation, goal setting and conflict management.
• Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
• Familiar with Procore.
• Minimum OSHA10 certified.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with all available information concerning the assigned project.
• Enforce safe work practices and OSHA standards.
• Capable of working in a team environment.
• Planning, scheduling and coordination of all work for assigned project.
• Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
• Conduct weekly coordination meetings with trade foreman to discuss schedule, progress, safety and upcoming activities.
• Assist PM with schedule updates, development and issuance of Look-Ahead schedules.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections for conformance to construction documents.
• Complete and issue daily logs with all required information and photographs.
• Conduct material quantity take-offs, receive and inventory material deliveries.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
