Entry Level Sales Representatives Responsibilities include:

In an entry-level sales position, some of your previous responsibilities will be considered but sales experience is not needed to be successful.   As part of our sales team, your main function will be to drive sales.  You will be accomplishing this by delivering presentations and selling products, generating leads, and meeting or exceeding sales goal targets.

You will be responsible for multiple aspects of the sales process in an assigned territory.  When initiating business and developing relationships using customer service and sales techniques would be an asset. Sales Representatives must update Sales Force and keep Sales Management teams aware of how the sales cycle is advancing.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing teams to encourage repeat business, while maintaining an awareness of market behavior, and competitive trends while responding accordingly.
  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers through cold calling, emailing, and networking.
  • Attending trade shows, retail locations, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the company's offerings. Including Assembly and disassemble trade show and retail booths.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to drive lead generation efforts and enhance sales strategies.  Make regularly scheduled sales calls and drop ins to assigned customers in your territory.
  • Conducting market research, proactively identifying leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business and understand industry trends.
  • Working closely with managers and team members to ensure the territory growth/strategic plan is being met and orders for correct pricing and content are received.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve sales techniques and knowledge, and remain up to date on regulations. This also includes completing required reports and other paperwork in the allotted time.
  • Setting and achieving sales targets and quotas to contribute to company revenue.
Entry Level Sales Representative Qualifications:

An effective sales representative must have clear verbal and nonverbal communication skills to properly express the values. This considerably improves the chances of success in sales.

  • Communication – Ability to hear, understand and repeat what is trying to be said and deliver educated responses
  • Persuasive Skills – Find a way to get your message across and to stand out from competitors.
  • Collaboration skills and teamwork - Collaborating with others to learn best practices and learn from other’s successes.
  • Self-Motivated – The ability to take initiative and get the job done despite challenges you may face.
  • Problem Solving Skills – Having the ability to eliminate objections and find the right solutions.
  • Adaptability - Ability to learn sales management skills, techniques, software, and CRM tools.
  • Time Management – Having a strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional – Having the ability to remain cool, calm, and collected in times of disarray while maintaining professional speech, image, and demeanor.
  • Travel and Schedule– Travel is required (20 and 25%). Travel may include Evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
