Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and operations of our NEW prestigious golf course. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the course is maintained to the highest standards, providing an exceptional playing experience for our members and guests.

Relocation Assistance Provided for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all logistics of our NEW course opening
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the golf course meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Manage and supervise a team of groundskeepers, irrigation technicians, and other staff to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Monitor course conditions daily, including turf health, irrigation systems, pest control, and overall aesthetics.
  • Create and manage budgets for maintenance activities, equipment purchases, and staffing needs.
  • Coordinate with golf course management to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to play.
  • Implement sustainable practices to promote environmental stewardship and resource conservation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, pest control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred.
