Job DescriptionJob Description

John Moore is hiring experienced Stand-by Home Generator technicians, who have experience in servicing and maintaining Residential generator systems.

Job Description:

  • Performing routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes, and inspections
  • Collecting data for preventative maintenance systems, maintaining activity logs and completing work orders and reports
  • Testing and monitoring the engines' combustion systems to ensure efficient energy output

Requirements:

 

  • Generator certification
  • 3+ years of power generator experience
  • In-depth understanding of standby generators
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on residential standby generators
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Over-time and Weekend hours as necessary
  • Assist in other phases of preparation and setting of power generation equipment and products such as trenching, piping, mechanical components, assembly for setting power generation packages
  • Have a clear understanding of AC/DC wiring as it pertains to duties

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in electrical installation of home standby generators
  • Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • High school or equivalent education
