Die Setter

A manufacturing company in Elgin, IL is looking for a Die Setter to join their team. This is a 1st shift DIRECT HIRE opportunity

Requirements of the Die Setter

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the set-up of progressive, multi-slide dies producing close tolerance piece parts
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to effectively use all standard inspection equipment found in die shop such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and shadow graphs
  • Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities of the Die Setter

  • Determines that all equipment is operating in a safe manner at all times
  • Responsible to see that the press is producing quality parts with a minimum of press down time; In addition, all auxiliary items are working, such as feeds, trimmers, belts, etc.
  • Capable of setting the rams on the presses
  • Recommend changes to current set-up procedures

1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $25.00 - $28.00 an hour, based on experience
