Operates, maintains, and repairs cryogenic/high pressure gas systems, vacuum systems, pressure vessels, gas recovery systems, gas, fluid and fill lines, gas generation system, cryogenic pumps, compressors, compressed natural gas equipment and cryogenic fluid transfer/withdrawal systems. (We will consider an applicant with HVAC Technician with Soldering and Brazing experience.) 

Performs bubble leak tests, pressure tests, and vacuum decay tests on cryogenic and high-pressure systems in support of the Glenn Pressure Systems Office under the direct supervision of a Cryogenic Technician II or Cryogenic Technician Work Lead.

Performs continued qualification of mobile Dewars (cargo tanks) in accordance with CFR 49 and D.O.T. Requirements under the direct supervision of a Cryogenic Technician II or Cryogenic Work Lead.

Oxygen system cleanliness and performing oxygen cleaning, when necessary, under the direct supervision of a Cryogenic Technician II or Cryogenic Work Lead.

Participates in the transfer of liquid Hydrogen under the direct supervision of the Cryogenic Technician II and Cryogenic Work Lead.
