The Position -Night Auditor:

Your contributions to the team help make our guests feel welcomed from the moment they first encounter your genuine smile and helpful attitude, especially in those overnight hours. You overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Audit, post and balance daily cashiers' work and compiles information for hotel’s financial records.
  • Post room charges and room taxes to guests’ accounts. Processes guest credit card vouchers.
  • Verifies all postings and balances.
  • Check all SRP Codes for miscoding and advance purchases for advance payment postings.
  • Prepares summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s financial performance for the day.
  • Tracks rooms’ revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
  • Prepares and sends daily operations reports to management.
  • Back-up computer system files, close system, run end of day and close day.
  • Generally, as likely the only staff member working at the hotel during the night shift, be cognizant of possible security and maintenance issues that may affect the guests and hotel.

    Other General Requirements of the Position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous hotel-related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of principles, values and processes for providing superior guest service.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Skilled in the use of front office equipment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

    Recruitment Process
