Our client focuses on the litigation of complex, often technology-driven disputes. Their lawyers have successfully tried some of the most important intellectual property disputes in recent times, for some of the largest companies in the world. They're seeking an experienced Paralegal II to join their team in San Francisco, CA.

Salary- $85K-$115K

Responsibilities:

  • Management of all case files and logistics of a patient litigation
  • Heavy involvement with eDiscovery/document production processes with minimal supervision
  • Preparation of Court documents according to associated rules and requirements
  • Work with attorneys to calculate and enter case/ matter deadlines
  • Review and make suggestions based on Appellate, Federal, and Local Rules, eDiscovery stipulations, and/or Protective Orders under the supervision of attorneys
  • Manage confidential client information, including source code reviews, document productions, and coordinating associated confidentiality/procedural requirements under the supervision of attorneys


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 3-6 years of experience, Direct Intellectual Property experience is required.
  • Practical experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Experience with electronic filings, and strong familiarity with Federal and Local court rules
  • Knowledge of common legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis, etc)
  • Background of supervising and mentoring junior paralegal staff preferred
  • Experience with the full life cycle, logistics, and components of patent litigation, pre-complaint through appeal preferred
  • Experience with trials preferred
  • Bluebooking and legal and factual cite-checking proficiency preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency with appellate rules and procedures, including appellate briefing, compilation of appendices, and mandamus petition rules procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with United States Patent and Trademark Office Post Grant Proceedings and/or International Trade Commission 337 Investigations a plus.
