Attention recent LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES Marcum Search LLC has been engaged by our Melville, NY based client to identify an Assistant to their General Counsel. Qualified candidates MUST have their Juris Doctor (JD) degree and 2+ years of professional experience parcticing law.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to and liaise with General Counsel
  • Develop strategies for resolving contract disputes and claims
  • Advise senior project management on legal and minority business participation compliance
  • Draft contract notices to project owners, subcontractors, and vendors regarding various contract issues, claims and delays
  • Manage and oversee minority business participation, tracking of minority participation contract goals, submission of waiver and exclusion requests and utilization plan updates, vetting of minority subcontractors and vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admittance to the state bar association and in good standing
  • 2-3 years professional experience practicing law - construction industry experience is a plus

Salary: $90K-$110K DOE + Excellent benefits F/T onsite
