Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make a significant impact in the manufacturing and construction industry? Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Accounting Assistant to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting our continued growth and success. This role is a 3-6 month contract with part-time hours.

Essential Functions for the Accounting Assistant:
  • The Accounting Assistant will assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Match incoming invoices to receipts.
  • Maintain and update financial records and databases.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports as needed.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements for the Accounting Assistant:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience using Accounting ERP software.
  • Experience and proficiency in MS Office Applications Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
  • The Accounting Assistant should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Detail oriented.

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
