We are seeking a Paralegal to become a part of our team You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client interactions, gather information and documents, relay information to clients and third-parties
  • Schedule meetings and organize client files
  • Conduct research to support legal proceedings
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
  • Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
  • Record and store client information
  • Meet with clients and gather information about their cases

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with legal research or abilty to learn
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Good computer skills are important
  • Ability to manage clients and deal with difficult situations
Company DescriptionWe are a small firm in Sarasota that provides legal services in the areas of real estate, litigation, personal injury, estate planning, bankruptcy, and probate. I am looking for another paralegal to serve as my primary assistant. You do not have to have prior legal experience or certifications, but you do have to be sharp, hard working, patient, extrememly well organized, and willing to learn on the job. I need a people-person that can interact well with clients, can follow instructions, has good phone skills, gets along with others, takes ownership of projects, and generally excels at solving problems and managing issues. You do not have to have a college degree, but have to be able to communicate intelligently. You have to have excellent computer skills, since you will be using a computer all day long. I only want pleasant people who can thrive in a small office encironment. You will be paid well, will have bonus oportunities, some flexibility with scheduling, will never work on weekends, and will learn something new everyday. I want to hire someone to work here for the next ten years, not ten months.
Benefits: 401k after 12 months. 10 paid federal holidays plus additional PTO. Private office.
Bonus: Discretionary bonus in December of each year.
