Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and certified Cherry Picker Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cherry pickers and other lift equipment, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy. The Cherry Picker Operator will be responsible for retrieving and handling inventory stored at various heights within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of Cherry Picker: Safely operate the cherry picker to retrieve and place items at elevated heights within the warehouse.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and prepare items for shipment or relocation based on order tickets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by accurately locating, counting, and documenting stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety harnesses.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine checks and maintenance on the cherry picker to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage or defects before handling and ensure they are correctly stored or shipped.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including the retrieval and placement of items.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to coordinate the efficient flow of goods and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid certification as a Cherry Picker Operator (or similar lift equipment) as required by local regulations and company standards.
- Experience: Previous experience operating cherry pickers or similar equipment is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and work at heights safely.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail in order picking and inventory management.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety practices and regulations related to lift equipment operation.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to equipment or inventory.
