Plant Maintenance

L.G. Everist, Inc., founded in 1876, produces and supplies sand, gravel, and quarried stone throughout the Midwest region of the United States. We are seeking individuals to help operate a rock crushing quarry.

JOB SUMMARY

You will be doing manual labor which includes cleaning, maintenance, and start-ups/shutdowns on plants. Safety is a top priority.

LOCATION

Sioux Falls, SD

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routine plant and car clean-up
• Operate equipment such as water truck, skid steer/back hoe clean up, mower, weed eater, 35 ton haul truck or small loader
• Maintenance such as changing screens, liner changes, assist bearing changes on head pulleys, tail pulleys and conveyors, adjust wiper and belts, adjustments on cone crusher and change clips on conveyors as instructed
• Minimum welding and torching
• Hourly, daily, and weekly inspections
• Stop and start-up of plant
• Sampling

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Maintenance experience

· The ability to follow and enforce safe work practices

· Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision

· High attention to detail

· Good work attendance

· Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds

SCHEDULE

Full-time Monday thru Friday. Some Saturdays are possible
