Indirect Procurement Associate

In partnership with our chemical manufacturing client, we are seeking Indirect Procurement Associates to be based in either Wickliffe or Brecksville, OH. This role is a 3-month contract with a hybrid (3 on, 2 off) work schedule. You will primarily support the procurement and evaluation of corporate services in support of organizational objectives and plant operations. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that relationships between the company and vendors are maintained in a manner consistent with corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards.

You will:

• Use RFIs (request for information) and RFQs (request for quotations) / RFPs (request for proposals) to identify best supply source
• Work with requisitioners to ensure PO’s are clear and accurately reflect internal needs
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings; reductions, rebates
• Ensure master data is accurate to allow efficient order processing and payment
• Ensure contracts are being followed and continually improve price, quality and service
• Perform GR/IR reconciliation in order to solve issues including blocking invoices
• Build strong relationships

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a focus in supply chain, business administration, finance, logistics, or a related field.
• A background in procuring services
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in SAP
• Understanding of sourcing/purchasing methods and negotiation skills

• Has a strong attention to detail
• Is able to work independently
• Can relate well with individuals at various levels, inside and outside of the organization
• Is highly organized
