Job Title: SCM Manager 

Location: Austin, TX 

 

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process within our organization. This includes planning, procurement, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Strategic Planning: 

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. 

  • Collaborate with Chicago headquarters to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals and objectives. 

  1. Inventory Management: 

  • Develop inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts. 

  • Utilize forecasting techniques and demand planning tools to accurately predict inventory requirements and ensure adequate stock availability. 

  1. Production Planning and Scheduling: 

  • Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing teams to meet customer demand while minimizing lead times and production bottlenecks. 

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity. 

  1. Logistics and Distribution: 

  • Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers while minimizing transportation costs and maximizing efficiency. 

  • Monitor logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and fill rates, and implement corrective actions as needed. 

  1. Quality Control and Compliance: 

  • Establish quality standards and procedures to ensure that products meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications. 

  • Implement quality control measures throughout the supply chain, including incoming inspection, production monitoring, and final product testing. 

  1. Risk Management: 

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity. 

  • Monitor geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors that may impact supply chain operations and proactively address emerging challenges. 

  1. Modification Work Order in ERP system. 

  • Conducting modification work order through ERP, classify the waste item and inventory item that will be used.  

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, with a track record of driving process improvements and achieving cost savings. 

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. 

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams. 

  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in supply chain management. 

  • Familiarity with supply chain software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools. 

  • Certified forklift operator is preferred. 

  • Fluent in English and Korean language preferred
