Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Wound Care Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff.
  • Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures.
  • Intake/discharge patients- gathering of information for intake and discharge.
  • Wound care dressing experience
  • Cast experience.
  • Transferring patients from wheelchair to exam chair and vice versa
  • Collecting, recording and reporting data that includes vitals, Temperature, Blood Pressure (BP) and blood sugar readings.
  • Take wound photography and measurement.
  • Reporting unusual observations or changes in patient condition/behavior
  • Preparing patients for examination
  • Assisting the Physician during the exam if necessary
  • Collecting specimens as requested
  • Basic laboratory tests
  • Changing dressings
  • Completes unit tasks such as cleaning exams areas, as well as processing sterile instrument, and performing other unit task as required.
  • Relates customer concerns and needs to medical personnel and tracks them in appropriate databases to ensure satisfactory outcome.
  • Other duties as required.
​Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience as CMA - Wound care experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service skills and follow-up skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work with others and in a team environment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to stay calm in all situations.
  • Experience with EMRs
  • Punctuality
  • Reliable
